I am not pretty. I am not beautiful. I am as radiant as the sun.

Girls are trained to say, ‘I wrote this, but it’s probably really stupid.’ Well, no, you wouldn’t write a novel if you thought it was really stupid. Men are much more comfortable going, ‘I wrote this book because I have a unique perspective that the world needs to hear.’ Girls are taught from the age of seven that if you get a compliment, you don’t go, ‘Thank you’, you go, ‘No, you’re insane.’

I actually have a long list of excuse when i hear a compliment

I love your blog! I was raised a believer, but when starting high school & college, I found myself straying away from Him. A few months ago I threw myself back into church & ministries, reading the word & praying, & even limiting time spent with my friends who are non-believers. It gets really difficult to deal sometimes, but when I scroll down my dash & see your posts, it just makes me so happy that your blog provides lovely motivation & there's such a large family in Christ on Tumblr :')

Hello beloved, thank you for share, thank you for your message, I’m really happy you are in the presence of God. I will put you in my prayers. God bless you xx

I’m coming back into focus when Caesar asks him if he has a girlfriend back home. Peeta hesitates, then gives an unconvincing shake of his head.

Handsome lad like you. There must be some special girl. Come on, what’s her name?” says Caesar.

Peeta sighs. “Well, there is this one girl. I’ve had a crush on her ever since I can remember. But I’m pretty sure she didn’t know I was alive until the reaping.”

Sounds of sympathy from the crowd. Unrequited love they can relate to.

She have another fellow?” asks Caesar.

I don’t know, but a lot of boys like her,” says Peeta.

So, here’s what you do. You win, you go home. She can’t turn you down then, eh?” says Caesar encouragingly.

I don’t think it’s going to work out. Winning…won’t help in my case,” says Peeta.

Why ever not?” says Caesar, mystified.

Peeta blushes beet red and stammers out. “Because…because…she came here with me.
